To Setup ID-1 for Data Operations to the Internet
Open the CS window
YOUR Enter the call sign of the repeater
(UR) Example: KR7ST
REPEATER
RPT1 Enter the call sign of the repeater
Example: KR7ST**A
(The * is a space.)
RPT2 Enter the call sign of the repeater and click the G button
This will put the G on the end of the call for you.
Example KR7ST**G
(MY) This is the (your) call sign as registered in the Gateway system.
Example KB7LMI or KB7LMI**D
You must use the correct call sign/IP combination
Examples
Radio 1 KB7LMI 10.#.#.1
Radio 2 KB7LMI*P 10.#.#.2
Radio 3 KB7LMI*D 10.#.#.3
The * is a space.
Computer Setup
If you use the computer for other LAN (or Internet) uses, suggest writing down any settings you change.
You'll need to change them back to use the computer with that other network connection again.
The computer used with the radio must have the fixed IP address assigned to the call sign used.
The IP/subnet/dns info is entered in the Local Area Network/Internet Protocol Properties settings.
Your assigned IP Address goes in "IP Address" entry. You will need to click-
"Use the following IP address"
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0
Default Gateway: 10.0.0.1
Preferred DNS: 10.0.0.1
