Radio Society of Tucson (RST) Minutes Sept 8, 2009 Meeting started with introductions around the room with each person giving their Name, Call Sign, and Date of License. The presentation for the evening was by Doug Haverhill, WB0EON on Doppler Systems’ Radio Direction Finding Systems. There was a 10-minute break after the presentation. The meeting was resumed by President Randy Malick, KF0X. It was moved and seconded to skip the reading of the minutes for August. The motion passed. Reports by Officers and SIGs Board Member, Ted Willis, AA7HX, announced that El Tour was coming up Nov 21st. Need workers. VE Liaison, Matthew Grossman, AC7IL, noted that VE testing had 10 candidates 6 new Hams and 4 upgrades. Repeater, Dave Cornell, KB7LMI, Have been working on Mt Lemon setup, there are pictures on the club website. Contests, Gary Keck, On Oct 10-11 will be the Arizona QSO Party. There is a special website: http://www.azqsoparty.org RST Sunday Night Net, Randy Malick, KF0X. The RST Net has 35-40 checkin’s each week. The first TRADIO – trade night was a success. If you don’t belong to the reflector you can sign up via the club website www.rstclub.org There will be elections for club officers at the next monthly meeting. The candidates were introduced. There will also be changes to the club charter to be voted on.
